The Johnston group of companies has undertaken a number of utilities and energy projects within the Caribbean, including the ten years strategic alliance contract with the Danish energy company, Burmesiter and Wain to carry out a ten year, 52 megawatt expansion of the Cayman Utilities power station.

The initial phase of the works included construction of a 13,400 square foot engine plant for six  generating units.

Johnston International is better known as Hadsphaltic Ltd in the Caymans and it was Hadsphaltic that carried out all building construction works, and the installation of mechanical and electrical equipment, over a concentrated period of six month, requiring complex and detailed planning of the works.
