Project Overview:
Having built the original hotel resort amenities in 1985, Johnston were
selcted tobuild the condominium units, based o their proven track
recordwith the client.
The project required the
construction and finishing of 53 number luxury beachfront suites within
a five- storey reinforced concrete frame; together withe the resort
amenities.
Challenges: Beachfront addition to an operational hotel and resort complex on Grand cayman's prime tourist attraction - Seven Mile Beach
Contract value: US $20m
Construction Schedule: The contarct period for the project was 18 months. The project was completed on time in january 1999.
Estimate Methodology: competitive bid.
Package strategy: Johnston as the main contractor used its preffered supply chain partners as appropriate, with emphasis on local suppliers.
