"Conde Naste" hotel and resort guide and under the new name the "Turks
and Caicos Club". Client:

Project Overview:
Construction
of a three-storey RC frame, main accommodation building plus, service
building, restaurant and pool facilities. The main accommodation
comprises 21number units fitted out with quality materials including,
maple cabinetry, and stainless steel kitchen appliances. Each room also
has its own internet, direct dial phones, cable TV, etc. In
addition to the overall general construction contract The Company was
responsible for structural and civil works on a Design & Build
basis. Challenges:
Beachfront construction on Provo’s prime tourist attraction – Grace Bay Beach.

US $3.4 Million
Construction Schedule:
Date of commencement October 2001. Construction period for completion (11) eleven months. The project was completed on time.
Estimate Methodology:
Negotiated,
complete open book arrangement with client under which a fixed price is
jointly developed from an initial cost plan exercise.
Package Strategy:
Johnston
was the main contractor and used its preferred supply chain partners as
appropriate, with the emphasis on local suppliers.
